I have an iFolder 3.7 server running on SLES 10.3 with OES 2 SP2.

It is a virtual box, and I want to add a datastore to it.

I am not familiar enough with the Linux command to do this. Could someone walk me through the process?

Also, when you add a datastore like this, what are the rules for it's use? Can I have a 50GB store, then add another 50 GB store when the first runs out of space? Is this the best practice, or is it best to maintain one larger store from the beginning?

My attempts have resulted as follows:

I add a virtual disk to the box which SLES sees as /dev/sdb

I have done fdisk and create the partition (/dev/sdb1)

I have done mkfs and created a file system (used defaults)

I have then created a folder off of the root called /ifolder1 and then mounted /dev/sdb1 to it.

That all seems to work okay, however

when I try to add another datastore to an  /ifolder2 folder it seems to mess everything up. As soon as I mount /dev/sdc1 to /ifolder2, I lose everything in /ifolder1

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if I am approaching this correctly.
