Segregated groups : A user can see other users who are in the same group as his. He cannot see any other group / user outside his group. This is helpful in achieving multi tenancy.

have you checked the iFolder Admin Guide and deployment guide on novell.com/documentation ? Can you confirm whether it is openLDAP / e-Dir / AD ?

We have read the admin guide fron Novell.  We are using openldap.  What we can;t work out is how to put users into the same group in openldap so that ifolder sees them as being in the same group.  We have tried creating various groups and ldap groups in yast but these don't seem to be seen by ifolder so I suspect we need to create the groups somewhere else.

1 thing I can tell you is : Make sure those groups are a part of the container that you mentioned while configuring the iFolder server. These groups should be a part of the container.

Creating groups on openLDAP and adding users , I guess you can get the docs from the web.

We've read the various docs around this.  Perhaps we aren't making the groups part of the original container but we're not sure how to do that.

Could somebody tell me how does this "segregate groups" work?

I need to have this configuration with iFolder:

1) One "Super Administrator" that could create new admins, new users and new folders

2) Some "Admin" that could create new users and new folders and that can see/create users and folders only in a specific group

I don't know if what I'm looking for is possibile and if it's possible by segregate groups. I will appreciate any help! Thank you very much!! Regards,

We've checked that the ldap groups plugin is configured and the attributes of the entries in the ldapserver but still no joy.  Would really appreciate any advice.  Screenshots of the ldap config are attached.

Can you even send us the Simias.log of server when ldap sync is going on ? Whats the context that is set on the server to pull members from LDAP ?
