Hi.

How can I customize or add new Show filter in "My WorkSpace >> Task Folder".

There is already "Assigned Task" and "From Folder" but I need another filter for custom field in Task.

Is it possible?

Thanks.

Can you just ad a filter using the standard "Filters..." link on that page (on the far right just above where your screen shot came from). That will let you filter on any custom field.

Hi Peter.

Thanks for your reply.

But that way can't help me.

I try to explain what I get and what I need.

I changed my standard Task Entry and add new field: "Initiator" before "Assigned to".

( Task Entry - Entry Form Definition - Form - User List ).

"Initiator" - is that man, who create new Task Entry and want to control work progress.

"Initiator" - wants to periodically monitor work progress for every Task that was created by "Initiator" and assigned to another people.

"Initiator" - is a standard User List component.

Usually "Initiator" is not in "Assigned to" list.

Sometimes "Initiator" is not a Task Entry creator.

Most usefull place for monitoring all Tasks in all folders is "My Workspace - Task Folder".

Can I add new Show view to see all Tasks where I am is "Initiator" with custom Task Entry in this place?

Thanks.

Have you tried adding a Search Accessory to your folder page. The Search Accessory can be set up to find all tasks where you are the initiator from anywhere in the site.

Hi Peter.

Yes, I tried to use Search Accessory. Search Accessory can be used whenTask Entries is less than 20.

Its hard to analyse Tasks in Search Accessory when Task Entries more than 30.

Task View is more usefull because:

1. In Task View I can see Priority, Status, % and other info about Task.

2. I can apply View filter by Task duration and completion status.

3. I can create and use set of custom Filters.

I need Task View with Search filter ( like in Search Accessory ) or customizable Show filter.

Is it possible?

At this point, you might want to talk to Chris Pressley (cpressley@novell.com). Chris has people who specialize in doing customizations like this. He also has training resources who can give instruction in how to do customizations like this.

Hi Peter.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm going to email my wishes to Chris Pressley.

Do you plan to add any new Task View functions in new releases of Cablink?

Cablink is Open Source Project, clear?

So I can join community and realize this function?

How can I do this?

( I realy think that usefull tools for control Task Entries can help to extend Cablink in corporate environment ).
