Trying to install teaming 2.0 on an ubuntu Server.

The Problem is the installer does not run:

  • -bash: ./installer-teaming.linux: No such file or directory

Is there a library wich I need to install Teaming?

Important for you to know:

The Server has an old kernel 2.6.18-028stab070.2. The provider says that ubuntu 10.04 is installed. But the kernel is an old one.

Can anybody help me please?

Is the installer-teaming.linux file marked as being executable?

I know sometime ago, this was problem that I believe has been fixed.  How old of a version of Teaming are you trying to install?

Sorry, I wrote teaming 2.0 but I try to install teaming 2.1

I think it is executable:

  • -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 92237159 Feb 18 01:26 installer-teaming.linux

I tried to install it on a local virtual maschine with ubuntu 10.04 and it works. It was not necessary to make the "installer-teaming.linux" executable.
The local Server has the newest Kernel 2.6.32-21but this is not the problem. Becauce in the Installer Instructions novell write that the SLES 10 works with teaming. -> The kernel is 2.6.16.

What I woundered about is:

In my local teaming file list of the directory, there is a star at the end of the file "installer-teaming.linux"

  • -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 92237159 2010-02-18 01:26 installer-teaming.linux*

On the online server there is no star. Maybe the file is not executeable? (The list I get with "ll")

OK. I've got it.

A friend told me, that I have to install the "ia32-libs".

Now the installer works until to the Java Heap.

Look at the picture. Any idea?
